Inauguration Bash Potluck & Bonfire

Please join us in celebrating Barack Obama's inauguration at our Inauguration Bash Potluck & Bonfire. This is a family event, bring the kids. We'll have a big pot of our famous vegetarian chili as well as gourmet espresso, hot chocolate and chai for all.

Looks like we now have plenty of folks to help setup and clean up afterwards as well as donations of firewood. Now all we need is you, your family and friends! In the tradition of our "Pancakes in the Park" breakfast, please bring a favorite dish, desert, or beverages to share. If you have a sound system we could setup outside for the bonfire, please call me (Tom) at 509-251-1106.

We are located at the very end of Oak street south of 12th Ave. It's the last house on the left overlooking Polly Judd Park. There is a private drive south of 12th from Oak to Elm that may be used for parking. Let's keep Oak from 12th to our drive on the left clear for handicap access. If you have any questions, please call me on my cell at 509-251-1106.

The entrance to our home is not wheelchair accessible but we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. For those with allergies please be aware that we do have a dog and cat in the house.

Our trip to Iran?

Shahrokh, Jon, Jackson, Pam, Zak and I have postponed our departure until the end of March. Zak fractured his ankle in the beginning of December. He's had his cast off for 3 weeks now and is doing great in physical therapy. The exciting news is that Nasim and Jafar will be back home in Tehran from their world-wide trip so we'll have the opportunity to spend some time with them.

Saturday breakfast at Comstock Park

Thanks to all for joining us for breakfast at Comstock Park yesterday. The pancakes were the tastiest ever and were made from an organic mix and eggs donated by Jacque from Fresh Abundance. We initiated our new double burner propane stove and were pleased with the results. Here's a photo taken by Dennis Lee Smith.
